The 2021 MISE Junior Challenge is tentatively scheduled for Saturday 8th May. However due to the current pandemic, it is not prudent to organize the event as usual. We have therefore reluctantly decided that the 2021 MISE Junior Challenge will be written in schools.
Online registration will be open from 1st April to 22nd April. Only teachers appointed by each participating school can register students. To respect the covid protocols, each school may only enter 10 individual students from each grade 7,8,9 making a maximum of 30 students per school. Schools may also choose fewer students per grade but make up for it in other classes. A minimum number of 10 students will qualify as a school. Fewer students will register as private candidates.
Private/independent/ Home school student registration
For the 2021 event, parents, private teachers and home school associations must arrange to have their pupils write the exam at a nearby participating school. They must however register their children using this form https://forms.gle/AJa8LU5mryvWrmGk6. A fee of GHS 350 will apply for such candidates.
Distribution of questions to schools.
MISE will be employing an online tool to test all students. Details will be provided to registered teachers.
Procedure for writing the competition
Schools must agree to run the competition under strict supervision. Participants/schools must provide their own tablet/computer/phone for the exam.
No calculator or formula sheet is allowed.
Results and Follow-on rounds
Results will be released a week after each test. Top performing students will be invited for the follow-on rounds.
